  • Metro is not only the modern transportation, it also carries the different emotions of the passenger. The artists perform in the metro, the vagrants live in the metro, they create a lot of stories of the city in the space. These images are the sources of inspiration for Shu-Fen Yao and director, Zhu-Shang Ke. The stage is designed as the closed metro station, and the audiences walk through the corridors and view the images on the wall. The performing style is different from the Proscenium Arch.

“Sortie”penetrates the frontier of stage, integrated the roles of dancers and audiences with the clean-cut method, it reflects the life from the ordinary people….The dancers’ movements lead out the curiosity, wishes, cheerfulness, standoff, illusion and tense emotion toward the regular life. From the simplicity of bod language from dancers, it embodied the complication and conflict of our daily life. …“Sortie”created the possibility of infinite.
