  • Repertoire

“Pentthouse”is the sexual issue from Shu-Fen Yao’s viewpoints. She was motivated by very popular topics of “diet”and“Plastic surgery”. Under the criteria of social norm, women tend be berried more burden with higher standard to their body shape and how they look compared with that of men. Therefore, lots of women are willing to invest money, time and effort on how they look in front of people. Whether women care about so much is for themselves or for thers? It is a controversial issue. Named this performance as “Penthouse”, people tend to be lead to image of nude women, same as the adult magazine.

On the contract, you don’t find any women on the stage during the performance, only 4 male dancer with handsome face and well-built body. It is more like “Man Power”. Costumed 4 male dancers to women role, then, view the women behaviors under the male chauvinism to enhance the conflicts of women role under this social criticism….

    Press

The four dancers sometimes provoke and tease each other in order to present the male relationships, sometimes talk about the body sizes of women in the view of Chauvinistic, and sometimes play the cross-casting. “Penthouse” describes interestingly the interaction between men and women.
